O's Notes: Midrash Mish Mosh can be
interpreted from its Hebrew roots to mean interpretive chaos. In the case
of the music on this CD, it is not quite free jazz but a festive combination
of world jazz with fusion. Leader, drummer Aaron Alexander composed all
of the music and delivers it with a talented group of musicians. As expected
the drum work is excellent but also the brass section is very good. |
